In this episode, a widower friend brings his new girlfriend to meet the Huxtable’s. Cliff and Claire are surprised to discover that she is almost half his age, but after an evening together, decide that the two are quite compatible. This leads to a conversation between Cliff and Claire about what they would do should the other die…would they date or remarry?
My boys were not particularly interested in this episode…anything that has to do with love and romance is pretty gross to them right now. I, however, wanted to know exactly when my husband would start dating and a list of names. He tried to pacify me by saying that he would be so grief-stricken that he would never be able to date, but I wasn’t falling for it. To be honest, there really was not a good answer…he could not win either way.
