I wonder…?

The other night, Son #2 asked me who owned our cottage…just Mommy and Daddy or all four of us. I told him that Mommy and Daddy owned the cottage. After thinking about it, he decided that was not fair. I asked him if he had a job…a bit of a shaky question I will admit since I myself don’t have an income producing job. He admitted that he did not have a job, but he does do chores. I explained that doing chores are part of being in a family…they are our way of contributing. He was getting ready to make his next argument for an ownership stake in the cottage when I told him it was time for bed. It was getting late to debate property ownership with a seven-year old. I wonder what he will be someday…perhaps an attorney?
