In this episode, Cliff declares “You are Not a Mother Night” and takes Claire away for a special dinner and an overnight at the Biltmore. The kids are left home in the care of Denise.
I have found that sometimes the greatest joy is going out with Husband without the kids. We can go to restaurants that do not serve chicken tenders and hot dogs and we can go to see movies that do not feature talking animals. We can also have a conversation without warning one another use our inside voices and without reminding the other to chew with their mouth closed. However, at the end of the evening, we also looking forward to returning home and looking in the sweet, sleeping heads of our offspring.
