Son #1 has worn a weekly medication patch on his arm since he has been about six years old. Recently, he has become a bit self-conscious about it. At sports camp, in the locker room, a boy asked him why he had a bandage on his arm. Son #1 was not sure how to respond…he did not know the boy well enough to disclose his health history. I told him that he could have said he was trying to quit smoking or that the patch covered his prison tattoos. No one is going to mess with my kid!
